Because I dropped Asuna, I'm moving the GREAT NEGIMA DOUJINSHI PROJECT over to this LJ! Updated today, 11/12/07!

Aquastar has this huge Negima! doujin Savefile project that can be found here. ALL THE FREE NEGIMA! PORN YOU COULD EVER WANT, AND A LOT THAT YOU DON'T! Along those lines, I've done my share of downloading from the project, and I keep a list of what I have, what language, the pairing, circle if I know it, trainwreck value, etc. Because from the links, there's really no way to tell what's what, and I'm way beyond the point of remembering it all. (At the same time, I hate it when I go download something and it turns out I have it, or that I've seen it before and it sucked.)

FINAL NOTE: Okay, so I know Chao can sound kinda scary. XD And yeah she gets really scary in canon! But those are special circumstances and it's impossible to replicate them here. So what I'm saying is that RAPEFACE SUPERVILLAINY ASIDE, there's no reason to fear Chao--she's not a psychopath and she's not plotting against anyone or seeking to hurt them. She's not secretly out to get you! She has less regard for danger and human life than is normal and is emotionally more distant than she pretends, but she's also helpful and friendly by nature. She has no issue with experimenting on people without their knowledge or consent, but obviously if that's going on I'll note it in the post and/or clear it with the mun first.

Canon: So what were you doing when you were 14? Running a successful business, building robots, training in martial arts, placing #1 in the school on all your exams, perfecting the art of Chinese cooking, and winning over the hearts of your classmates? Okay, maybe not--after all, Chao Lingshen is no ordinary girl. It's not just any middle school student whose list of "likes" includes world domination.

Chao is talented and popular, her skill set being in high demand among her peers, who rely on her for "meatbuns and convenient mecha." She has a cute, upbeat, and helpful persona, although her classmates do have a small idea of what lies beneath. And she's quite cheerful about telling them that she's a time-traveling Chinese Martian colonist who has sold her soul and emotions to science... because she knows that there's no more convincing lie than the truth.

But as far as her daily life goes, Chao's usually doing her part to support her classmates and the school through her technological expertise and her popular meatbun stand, Chao Bao Zi. She loves her hobbies and dedicates herself to them happily, pimping out her delicious and cheap meatbuns even as she's sending a robot army against her unsuspecting classmates.
